About Fleas

Fleas (Siphonaptera order) are tiny, wingless insects about 1/8 inch long, known for their powerful jumping ability. They infest cats, dogs, and other mammals, laying eggs that fall into carpets, rugs, and bedding.

Risks & Concerns

Flea bites cause itching, allergic reactions, and skin irritation. Heavy infestations stress pets and may transmit tapeworms and bacterial diseases.

Prevention & Control

Use veterinarian-approved flea prevention on pets year-round. Vacuum frequently, wash pet bedding, and treat indoor and outdoor areas if infestations occur. Professional treatments may be necessary for severe cases.
