Our company name, Ecologic Entomology, is more than just a title—it’s a statement of purpose.
Literally, the name breaks down into two parts:
- Ecologic refers to ecology—the branch of biology that deals with the relationships between organisms and their environments. It carries with it the idea of ecological systems, balance, and long-term sustainability.
- Entomology is the scientific study of insects, the most diverse and adaptable group of organisms on the planet. Insects shape ecosystems, pollinate crops, recycle nutrients, and—unfortunately—can also be destructive pests.
Together, Ecologic Entomology literally means “the study of insects in the context of their environments.” But the meaning goes deeper than that.
We chose this name because it reflects our approach to solving all pest-related problems—not by reacting blindly or using heavy-handed tactics, but by understanding the broader ecological systems at play.
