Silverfish are primitive, even older than cockroaches. They are wingless insects that are 1/2” long when fully mature. Somewhat flattened and carrot-shaped, they are covered with silvery scales. Three long, slender, antennae-like appendages project from the end of the abdomen, giving them the name “bristle tails.’
